Michael Wong D.Ch, B.Kin is a Registered Chiropodist at Waterloo Foot Clinic Uptown. Born and raised in Toronto, Michael possesses a deep appreciation for the healthcare field, notably from the care he received as a competitive swimmer and rugby player. Striving to help others, he would pursue further education at the University of Toronto, graduating with a degree in Kinesiology. Throughout his undergraduate years, Michael was able to balance academics with athletics, competing for the Varsity Blues Men’s Rugby team. At the same time, he was fortunate to work in a clinical placement opportunity alongside sport physicians and other specialists at the esteemed David L. Macintosh Sport Medicine Clinic. It was here where Michael was inspired by one of his mentor’s mottos - “you do not have to be a world-class athlete to receive world-class care”. This motivated him to strive for the best care possible to everyone and anyone.

Following his undergraduate degree, Michael then pursued advanced training at the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences, expanding his scope of knowledge to include clinical pharmacology, podiatric medicine and soft tissue surgery. He would apply and hone his chiropody skills working in inpatient care units and complex care teams at Toronto Grace and Toronto Rehabilitation Hospitals as well as the Waterloo Foot Clinic, where Michael would ultimately find his love for the tri-city region. Michael is grateful for the warm welcome from the tri-city community, and is thrilled to serve people from all walks of life in order to get them back on their feet again.

When not providing services at the uptown location, Michael could be found hiking trails and birdwatching, portaging over beaver dams at Algonquin Park, or looking for the perfect sunset alongside his fiancee.
